Finish& that is strong On! Hey, senior high school seniors

Finish& that is strong On! Hey, senior high school seniors most of us understand that summer time is about the corner. For Southern Ca residents, it is already right here (at least it had been for per week). You are quite ready to fill up on suntan cream along with your attention period gets faster and smaller in course. We understand it could get hard but hold on a small longer. Do not surrender!

Michael Jordan said, ‘It’s maybe not how difficult you push along the way, it is having one thing in one to finish.’ I know, I desire he was discussing an In N Out burger too. Maybe with side of animal fries.

All joking aside, it is critical to close out your year that is senior consistent and finish strong. Keep doing everything you have been doing the last 4 years and do not let up. Although you had an impressive scholastic fall semester, remember that colleges will nevertheless wish to see your final school transcript that is high.

Below are a few items to keep in brain as the is ending year:

AP/IB Tests
Refer to my blog that is previous on these still matter and just the way they are able to assist. It’s worthwhile to place in the effort that is extra!

You Say Goodbye, I State Hello (Hello, Hello)

After a year and a half (virtually) working with you, our supporters, we find it bittersweet to state that that is my final web log post. Today is my last time at USC. Sharing my voice through your blog is this kind of fun learning experience. I had been able to uncover a passion for internet development and user design/experience, and I have always been excited to express I am forever grateful for the time I’ve spent at USC and I can’t say enough about my personal and professional development while I’ve been here that I will be moving on to continue working in that field. The people whom work listed below are superb at what they do; you are typical in good fingers. It’s particularly inspiring to function every alongside colleagues who truly care about this work day. They’ve been peers, but i will be honored to also phone them friends.
Finally, it mightn’t be described as a web log post without my typical list. Below are the top 3 things I discovered throughout my two and a years that are half USC.

Don’t Stop Learning
For all of you who’re going to begin with university, the next four years will likely be the last time in yourself that your job is always to discover. Learning is exactly that which you shall be doing 24/7. Carry this spirit of learning with you once you have graduated and approach every single day understanding that there is constantly more to understand.

Complimentary Food rocks !
In reality, this is budget advice. I have discovered so I always take advantage of free food that I spend the most money on food every month. We made the mistake of using too long to figure down how to track my money. Like John Maxwell said, ‘Tell your hard earned money where you can go rather of wondering where it went.’

Diversity Rules
I enjoy my workplace for many and varied reasons; one of these is because of the different backgrounds of my peers. There exists a running joke within the workplace we are (and we dress ON POINT) that we sometimes look like a United Colors of Benetton ad because of how diverse. However in all severity, being around my colleagues has caused me for more information about other peoples’ experiences and perspectives. Discover to comprehend the benefits of diversity. You will end up an improved frontrunner, community member, worker, employer, and human being.

Well, that’s it for me. To my pupils from Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Davis and the state of Washington, I am going to dearly miss you during travel season. It is truly been a pleasure serving every body and in the words of Ron Burgundy, ‘Stay classy and thanks for visiting.’

I now hand you off to your brand new writer and my colleague, the hostest because of the mostest, Sam Schreiber.

Hey Everyone! My title is Sam and i will be so excited to be joining the USC Admission Blog! I have been working at the office for almost four years now and also have caused Houston, Austin, San Antonio as well as the coast that is central of since I began. I am from SoCal and attended Calabasas senior high school before you go to Nashville, TN for university. At Vanderbilt, I double majored in Spanish and therapy and then arrived back to Los Angeles and did a masters in social work here at USC.

I ended up being really tangled up in the admission office at Vandy (that is exactly what the kids that are cool it, we vow), and dabbled in graduate school as well, so pursuing college admissions as a profession ended up being constantly on my head. As well as having the capability to play a part in advanced schooling having a group that is great of, I love using prospective and present pupils. My theory is I stopped growing up at around age 16, however it is also possible children these days are simply super cool.

I really hope to bring an truthful and authentic perspective towards the admission we blog and help people see that the admission counselors are really simply you are like you, whoever. I’ve no doubt that whatever topics We cover you will have personal anecdotes thrown in there (and probably cat pictures) but also wish to provide insight into just what is a very process that is human. Thanks for reading!
